Nancy 'Agnes' Hall Pettigrew wife of George Alexander Pettigrew Sr. Born 25 Dec 1819 in Armaugh, Ireland. Died 23 Mar 1895 near Latham, Moniteau County, Missouri. George and Nancy were married in Ireland where 7 of their 12 children were born.

Mrs. Agnes Pettigrew, wife of Uncle George Pettigrew, of Pilot Grove township, died last Saturday morning at the age of 76 years and was buried the day following in the Pettigrew cemetery.
Grandma Pettigrew was a native of Ireland and was born in the county of Armaugh, December 25, 1819. She left Ireland in 1850 coming to the United States and locating in St. Louis county, Mo., living there until 1860, when the family moved to Moniteau County and settled 8 miles southeast of Tipton, where her husband, Uncle George, and two daughters still reside. She was the mother of twelve children, nine of whom survive her. One died in Ireland, one died while crossing the ocean and was buried in the sea, and one was killed by lightning August 11, 1877.
Grandma Pettigrew was a consistent Christian, a kind and affectionate wife and mother and was beloved by all who knew her. The funeral was largely attended.
