He was born to John Seely Allen & Margeret Maria Decker. Pete was the third son of six boys and four girls. He was in the Civil War, in the Army Co.I 109 NY Vol. & Co.H 51 Vol.. After, he married Mary Louis Reed in Pine Vally,NY on July 4,1866. They had ten children. He worked as a Stone Mason. As did his father and brothers. Also was in the Salvation Army. For most of his adult life he lived in Big Flats, N.Y..

Don Pedro Allen died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning at the home in Big Flats, aged six-five years. He is survived by his widow and five children, Mrs. M. Farr, of Wellsburg, Emma B. and Daisy, of Big Flats, and John and Alva, of Big Flats. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
