EDWARD DOUGLAS SAAVEDRA, 36, of Memphis, former employee of Fitzgerald's Casino, died Friday at Saint Francis Hospital. Mass will be said at noon Wednesday at St. Anne Church on Highland with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Bartlett Funeral Home Stage Road Chapel has charge. He was an Army veteran, graduate of Kirby High School and communicant of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Walls. He leaves his parents, Edgar and Amalia Saavedra of Memphis; five sisters, Edith Schmidt of Killeen, Texas, Elaine Sparrow of Newport News, Va., Donna Williams of Collierville, Ellen Hannah of Metairie, La., and Diane Tabulog of Honolulu, and a brother, Edgar Dean Saavedra of Memphis.
