Andrew Peter Biernasz, Sr., 88, of Wausaukee, WI died Wednesday, Feb. 4 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, WI. He was born May 20, 1920 in Middle Inlet, WI, the son of Jacob and Mary (Polegaera) Biernasz.

On June 22, 1946 he married the former Mary Rishel in Wausaukee.
In 1959 they moved to the Wagner area from Amberg. He was self-employed in farming and the logging industry. His interests included hunting, fishing and playing the concertina.

Survivors include his wife Mary;
two sons: Robert (Anne) and Dan (Sue), both of Wausaukee, WI;
a daughter Bonnie Elias of Raleigh, N.C.;
nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
a brother Joe of Middle Inlet, WI
and a sister Stephanie Boryla of San Diego, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents;
a son, Andrew, Jr.; two grandsons, Danny and Stephen;
a brother, Walter;
three stepbrothers, Chester, Edward and Walter Philip and a stepsister, Mildred Gondek.

A memorial visitation was held at Community Lutheran Church in McAllister on Monday, Feb. 9 from 10:30 a.m. until time of the funeral service at noon. Rev. Paul Hueter officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
