Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Thursday at Davidson-Duff Funeral Home, Topeka, for Mrs. Catherine Louise Ayers, 1105 N. Van Buren, who died Monday at a Topeka hospital after an extended illness.
She was born March 17, 1917, at Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Minnie Mullis Lee, and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Ayers had worked as a private practical nurse.
She attended the Assemply of God Church, Topeka. She was married to Harry E. Ayers July 20, 1940, at Topeka. He died April 30, 1973.
Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Judy C. Miller, Rossville, Mrs. Peggy Silver, 1214 N. Quincy, Mrs. Janice Bagg, Albany, Ore., and Millie Ayers, of the home; a son,
John E. Ayers, Winchester; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Falley, 5706 Avalon Lane; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Topeka. Mrs. Ayers will lie in state after 4 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 until 8:30 p. m.Wednesday at the funeral home.
