Michael Henry Adamo, 85, of Blacksburg, died Friday, November 21,2003 at his home surrounded by his children. He was born on August 21, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Peter & Anna Dixitdomino Adamo. He was a member of the Long Island Carpenter and Joiners of America, and was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Caroline Adamo. He is survived by two daughters & sons-in-law, Camille & Peter Johnson ]of Marietta, GA, Lucille & Alex Lindamood of Richmond; three sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Linda Adamo, Peter & Kathleen Adamo all of Blacksburg, Daniel & Susan Adamo of Ballground, GA; a sister, Natalie Carriero of Long Island, NY; 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a close family of numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral mass was conducted Monday, November 24, 2003 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father James Arsenault officiating. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 706 Harding Ave., Blacksburg, VA 24060.
