Lydia A. Smith, daughter of John R. and Louisa J. Smith was born in Dundy County, Missouri, January 14, 1863, passed away at the home of her daughter, Daisy Colling, in Wilsonville, Nebraska, September 24, 1952, at the age of 89 years, 9 months, and 10 days.
On November 9th, 1879, she was united in marriage to Pembrook Burt at Clay Center, Nebraska. To this union twelve children were born; five having preceded her in death. Her husband, Pembrook Burt, passed away in Wilsonville, Nebraska, April 14, 1943.
Early in life she confessed her faith in her Lord and became a member of the Methodist Church. Retaining this same faith which sustained her and helped her through life's difficulties, and brought her much joy in the long life she lived; which to her was always a service to others.

Thee best.
