Funeral services, in charge of the Anderson funeral home, will be conducted by the Rev. C. E. Spore from the United Brethren church in Amherst. Wednesday at 2 p.m.. A son, Martin J. Long, an air cadet at Corsicana, Tex., will arrive Tuesday. Interment will be int he Stanley cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Martin J. of Corsicana, and Franklin C. and Roy N. of the home; three dauthers, Genevieve, Iola Jessie and Beverly Florence, all of the home; two brothers, Frank of Amherst and Roy of Richmond, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Harmoney of Amherst and Mrs. Mabel Harris of Kearney.

Preceding him in death were one brother, Ervin, and one sister, Etta.
He resided all his life in the neighborhood where he was born. He was a member of the local school board for 23 years and also held township offices most of that time. For many years he ws actively engaged in buying horses for a New York firm.
He was a kind and loving husband and father, devoted to his family. He had a wide circle of friends and was highly respected by all who knew him.
