GalesburgóCharles H. Bryant, 74, retired Burlington Railroad engineer, died at 4:30 a. m. Monday at Cottage Hospital following six months' illness. He resided at 228 Cottage Ave.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday at First and Puckett Chapel with Rev. Floyd H. Pounds of Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be in Inwood Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight at the funeral chapel.
Mr. Bryant was born in Schuyler County April 14, 1883 and had been employed by the railroad for more than 50 years when hr retired in January of 1952. He was married to Faye E. Lohmar at Galesburg April 30, 1906.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lyle and Herman of Galesburg and Charles Jr. of Wisconsin and five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Locher of Princeville, Mrs. Vivian Colwell of Oakland, Calif. Mrs. Dorothy Nebergall of Peoria, Mrs. Helen Winkler of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Beverly Borgia of Rockford.
