A native of Massachusetts, she grew up in Somersville, where she attended Catholic school. Her father, a native of the Azores, owned and operated a barber shop in Somersville. Louise met Roy Anderberg in 1948 and they married in Hawaii at the Submarine base chapel at Pearl Harbor. Louise lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 40 years, but previously lived in many parts of the world including Hawaii, Japan and Guam, before settling in Concord in 1969. She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a retired employee of Sears Roebuck, as well as an avid bridge player. A resident of Rossmoor for 15 years, she had recently come to live with her daughter in Brentwood. Louise was survived by her husband of 53 years, Roy (d 2008); her son Roy Jr of Florida, daughter Mary Shea of Brentwood, and grandchildren Stephanie and Timothy; many brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held on January 10, 2007.
