Robert Joseph Canfield, 15, of Springfield and New Berlin, died either Thursday night or Friday morning in an airplane crash in Cass County. He was born April 15, 1960 in Springfield, the son of Richard E. and Catherine E. Hermes Canfield. He was a student at New Berlin High School and a member of St. Mary's Church in New Berlin.
Surviving are his father, Richard E. Canfield of Springfield, and his mother, Mrs. Catherine E. Canfield of New Berlin; one sister; one brother; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Canfield and Carl Hermes.
Services will be Monday. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Berlin.
