Jonas was the son of Benjamin K and Charlotte H Knight Fowle, the sixth of twelve children. On 12 December 1870, in Westport, Maine he married Francis E "Fannie" Dickinson, daughter of Abijah and Dorothy Grover Dickinson of Wiscasset, Maine. Together Jonas and Fannie had three children, Richard Lester Fowle, Fannie D Fowle, and Josie H Fowle. They raised their children in Westport, Maine. Jonas was a fisherman and later in life became a farmer. He preceded his wife in death by 9-months. Rest in peace dear Ancestors.
