Lucy Anne Bryant was born on May 12, 1827, in what was known at that time as Point Isabel, Pulaski County, Kentucky. The name of that town was later changed to Burnside, Kentucky, and remains so to this day.
She was the daughter of Jesse Bryant (b. 1805 in Kentucky) and Jane Smith (b. 1804 in Kentucky). She was also their first born child. Her parents were also married in Point Isabel, Kentucky (now Burnside) on Sep. 26, 1826.
Lucy was married on June 9, 1844, in Point Isabel (now Burnside), Pulaski County, Kentucky to George Washington Baker. They remained married to one another for nearly 54 years until George's death in February of 1908.
Together they produced eight children.
Lucy passed away on March 28, 1912, in Spickard, Grundy County, Missouri and she was buried in the Spickard Masonic Cemetery, in Grundy County, Missouri, beside her husband.
