"Columbus Lane Myers of Bloomingdale, age 94, died in the hospital at Clinton, Saturday afternoon, June 13. He was a resident of the Grange Corner community most of his life. Born in Parke County, Dec 26, 1875, he was the son of Lewis and Rebecca Lawson Myers. He was married July 10, 1899, to Jennie Allen, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ercie Wilman of Mecca, Mrs. Ruby Livengood of Montezuma, Mrs. Marie Bowman of Walolace and Mrs. Bernice Smith of Indianapolis; a son, Vance of Bloomingdale; 21 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchidren and 10 great-great-grandchildren." - Rockville Republican, June 18 1970, Pg 1
