1935 Obituary Davis County, Utah
Mrs. Hyrum Brunson of South Bountiful Called to Death
Mrs. Clarissa Ann Howard Brunson wife of Hyrum Brunson died Wednesday at her home in South Bountiful.

She was born in West Bountiful sixty-five years ago, on the 12th of this month and was the daughter of William and Betsy Jane Fackrell Howard.

Her father met with one of the worst accidents that occurred in our canyons in early days when logs were being hauled out of the canyon in the winter time. They used to slide the logs down the mountain side into the bottom of the canyon. These logs would travel almost as fast as a bullet. He was struck on the leg by one of these logs which resulted in his death some months later.

Surviving besides the husband and mother Mrs. Betsy Jane Howard, are, two sons Elmer Howard Brunson, Bountiful, and [Hyrum] Earl Brunson, Seattle; four daughters, Edith Brunson, Bountiful; Mrs. Beatrice Anderson, Mrs. Clarissa Anderson and Mrs. Ardella Penman, all of Salt Lake; 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Lula Dana of Wyoming.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the South Bountiful chapel. Burial will be in the Bountiful cemetery under the direction of the Deseret Mortuary.
