Jane L. Dakin, wife of Milo H. Dakin, died at their home, 101 Bernard St., at 5 o'clock yesterday morning of consumption, age 56y. Mrs. Dakin, who maiden name was Cross was born in Hanover, Jackson county. When she was quite young her parents moved to Ingham County, where she lived until her marriage to Mr. Dakin March 12, 1867. They first located in Jackson and afterwards lived in Ionia and Montcolm counties. Twenty years ago they came to this city which hence has been their home. Mrs. Dakin was women of many excellent qualities and ever devoted to her home. Her husband and two sons, Sherman H. and Percy M. survive her. Her sons now are at Grand Parish, Louisiana. The funeral is to take place tomorrow, but the hour is not fixed. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
