Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet (Hattie) Abernethy, 87, former resident of Henry who died May 22 in a Loveland, Colo., nursinghome,were held May25 at Mitchell. Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Morrill.
Born Nov. 23, 1888, at Grand River, Iowa, she moved to Sargent in 1902. She homestead- ed in western Wyoming in 1916 and in 1922 moved to Henry where she lived until 1964. She had resided at Morill and lived with her duaghter at Huntley, Wyo., before moving to Loveland in 1973. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Florence McKee Jepson of Huntley, Mrs. Ruby Abernethy- Cotes of Loveland; sisters Lucy prentice of Yoder, Ethel McKee of Solvange, Calif., Lula Granston , of Aurora; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands; George McKee and Robert Abernethy, a son and step-son
