Samuel Rogers was born in Wendall, New Hampshire, on November 13, 1766 and died in Concord, Lake Co., Ohio, Sept. 9, 1850. He fought in the Revolutionary War in the company of Capt. Samuel Richards, regiment of Col. Stark.

Samuel Rogers was also in the War of 1812, and it was here that he received a Lieutenant's commission.

He came to Concord, Ohio, in 1831 where he farmed. He is buried in Stickney Cemetery on State Route 86.
