MRS. EDWARDS OF MOULTON DIES AT LOCAL HOSPITAL
Resident of Southeast Part of County For More Than Half a Century
---Mrs. Tabitha Edwards, 86, long time resident of Moulton, and the widow of Daniel Edwards, died at the St. Joseph hospital in this city at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday following a long period of failing health.
---Mr. Edwards had been living with her son, Otis Edwards of Moulton for the past several years. She was a resident of the southeast county city for more than half a century and was widely known. A host of relatives and friends mourn her passing.
---In death she is survived by the following children: Frances de Capito, of Brookfield, Mo.; Pearl Mullanix, of Big Sandy, Montana; A. Mullanix, of Hosington, and Otis Edwards of Moulton.
---There are 12 grandchildren, one of whom is Mrs. Charles Keller, of this city, and there are five great-great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements pending word from relatives.

Mrs. Tabitha Edwards Dies At Age of 84
---Mrs. Tabitha Edwards, aged resident of this community, passed away at the St. Joseph hospital in Centerville, last Wednesday night, following a three weeks illness. Mrs. Edwards, although 84 years old, had been enjoying fair health until her recent sickness.
---Tabitha Hatfield, daughter of Ail and Rebecca Hatfield, was born Dec. 18, 1858 at Martinstown, Mo., and passed away at the St. Joseph hospital, Centerville, Iowa, Oct. 6, 1943, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 18 days. In 1877 she united in marriage with Thomas Mulanix. Into this union were born three children, Frances, who is Mrs. C. A. DeCapito, of Brookfield, Mo., Pearl, of Big Sandy, Mont., and Ail of Hoisington Kan. Mr. Mulanix passed away June 19, 1884.
---In 1890 she united in marriage with Daniel Edwards, and to this union was born one son, Otis D. Edwards, of Moulton, Iowa. She had made her home with her son Otis and family, for the past several years. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her four children, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist church for a great many years.
---Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Hitchcock Funeral Home conducted by Rev. J. A. Harp, pastor of the local Methodist church. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Tabitha married her first husband, Thomas Mulanix/Mullenix in 1877 and they had four children: an infant son, Mary Francis, Ail Washington and Pearl Lee Mulanix.
Tabitha married her second husband, Daniel Edwards on March 15, 1890 and they had one son: Otis Daniel Edwards
