Joshua was living with his parents and siblings on Sept 5, 1850 when the census was taken, he was 10 months old. By date calculations from his age and on the census, the wrong date is on his headstone, it should read 1851 and not 1850 as he was still alive in Sept of 1850 . This is a common mistake of the period, wrong birth dates and death dates, either by the engraver, or by friends or family members not knowing the correct dates. He may have died from Cholera.
