Ruby Ellen Richardson

Ruby Ellen Richardson, 88, passed away on December 12, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Ruby (Nanny, as she was known by most of her family) was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Nanny was born on February 2, 1924, in Westville, OK to Susie and Harry Newlon. She was united in marriage to George E. Richardson on October 22, 1942. George and Ruby settled in Springfield, MO in 1961 where they would raise their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and her husband.

She is survived by her six children, Paul, Charlotte, Glenda, Dawn, Sharon, Ronnie, and their spouses, 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 brother, Billy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nanny was loved by everyone and her passing has left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Greenlawn North in Springfield. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Greenlawn North, followed by burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
