Pilar was in the military in France, where he met and married his wife Victoria Leon, together they had seven children before her death in 1930.
My maternal grand-mother, Lupe said he worked very hard for the poor living they could "etch out". Pilar and Victoria lived in Pueblo all their lives. But their children all moved to different parts of California, lived and died here. Cosme, Manuel, Sarah, Lupe, Carmen, Frances and Liz.
Cosme and Sarah, returned home to be buried at Roselawn.
