Charles was the son of John and Josephine Satek. He was married to Esther Picha. Charles was a policeman with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He was killed in the line of duty. He was a passenger in the police car traveling to assist another police officers call for help when the police car was stuck in an intersection. He died 11 days after being injured.
Note: Charles was buried at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery (old) in St. Louis, MO but moved to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo, IL after his wife passed away.
