Visitation for Mr. Stanley "Stan" Erwin Nabors will be today from 9 to 11 a.m. with the service immediately following at Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville. The Rev. Dr. Grant Arinder, the Rev. Dr. Leroy Brewer and the Rev. Lee Brewer will officiate. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Nabors, 73, passed away on August 20, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus.
He was a retired business administrator for Starkville Buses and a member, deacon and trustee of Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Doss Nabors of Starkville; daughters, Sharon Brewer and husband Leroy of Asia and Jenna Shook and husband Larry of Starkville; grandchildren, Valerie Hawthorne and husband Geoffrey, Lee Brewer and wife Emily, Nathan Brewer, Staci Shook and Kyle Shook; brothers, the Rev. Jimmy Nabors and wife Gayle of Bedford, KY, Joe Nabors and wife Diane of Prattville, Ala. and Kermit Nabors and wife Priscilla of Concord, N.C.
