Lillian L. Gilpin, 94, of Clinton, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2006) at the Hawthorne Inn, Clinton.

Mrs. Gilpin was born Sept. 29, 1912, at Bloomington, a daughter of Charles and Anna Nelson Peterson. She married Dean Stoops in 1937 in Bloomington. He passed away in 1952. She later married Ray Gilpin in 1967 and he passed away in 1976.

Survived by niece, Joy (Richard) Ferree of Marco Island, Fla.; niece, Charline Babb of Costa Mesa, Calif.; nephew, Bernard (Sandra) Peterson of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and niece, Deanna (Gene) Mandrell of Clinton; and several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Gilpin was a retired seamstress.
