Rose Pelgia Przybyszewski Bushaw grew up in the DelRay section of Detroit and had one sister, Josephine and brother, Stanley. She married William Bushaw and had a daughter, Shirley. When her husband died in 1954 Rose worked to support herself well into retirement. She was a very independent lady and lived on her own until she suffered a stroke at the age of 98. She died in 2000 following complications of a stroke. She was survived by her daughter, Shirley, and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
