Carl D. Patton, a retired truck driver for Permian Oil Company, died Friday[, Mar. 26, 1976,] in the Bridgeport Hospital following an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services were held Sunday[, Mar. 28,] at 1 p.m. in the Hawkins Funeral Chapel in Bridgeport. Burial was in the Eastland Cemetery in Eastland.

An 11-year resident of Chico, Mr. Patton was born in Quannah April 29, 1911. He was married to Mrs. Gertrude Chambers Ogle January 9, 1968.

Pallbearers included Harold Lasiter, Nobie Tucker, Kenneth Richey, Junior Hicks, Bill Patton, and Gene Patton.

Survivors include his wife, five daughters, Mrs. Catheryn Jenkins of Lawton, Okla., Mrs. Mildred Lewis of McAlister, Okla., Mrs. Betty McSpadden of Midland, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Ballard of Haltom City, and Mrs. Neva Norris of Odessa.

Other survivors include one son, Glenn Dale Patton of Odessa, four stepsons, Terry Ogle of Broken Arrow, Okla., Shelton Ogle of Arlington, Don Ogle of Decatur, and Wayne Ogle of Arlington, four sisters, two brothers, 23 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren (INCORRECTLY LISTED AS GREAT-GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN), and nine step grandchildren.
