Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Everman. Interment: Everman Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home, Fort Worth.
Roy was born June 2, 1936, in Tarrant County. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Everman and loved serving the Lord. He was a longtime deacon and served as building and grounds chairman for many years.
Roy founded Bean Electrical in 1984 and served as president until his retirement in 2002. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying his 1946 Veronica Champ and a 1960 Cessna 175. His hobbies also included restoring old tractors with his nephew, Jeff Bean, and playing the guitar. He was a 29 Year Mason and a member of Deer Creek Lodge No. 510.
He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, and will be missed by his family and many, many friends.
Survivors: His wife of 54 years, Wilna Bean of Fort Worth; son, Chip Bean and wife, Sissy, of Aledo; daughters, Cynthia Renfro and husband, Milton, of Fort Worth and Cheryle Espree and husband, Harry, of Crowley; brother, Joe Bean and wife, Pat, of Alvarado; sisters, Faye Elder and husband, Roger, of Arlington and Martha Weber and husband, Earl, of Everman; and the lights of his life, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
