Charles Nathan Powers, 88, died June 19, 1989, in Conway. Husband of the late Esther A. Ruhl Powers. Born June 20, 1900, in Conway, a son of the late Thomas F. and Sarah Harkrider Powers. A grandson of the late James H. and Marcy, "Mollie," Harkrider and William M. and Sarah Martin Powers of Conway.

Surviving is a son, Charles L. Powers and wife, Carol, and a granddaughter, Carma L. Powers of Conway.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James H. Powers and John M. Powers; and a sister, Bessie McFarland.

He owned an antique furniture business and was retired from the Conway Fire Department as Assistant Chief.

He was a member of First Baptist Church and the H.L. Minton Sunday School class. Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jeffrey Julian officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bill Wright, Kenneth Jordan, Jackie Lawrence, Doyce Ballard, Steve Harrington and Eddie Erbach. Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
