She was born Nov. 28, 1910, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Alfred R. and Louisa Toone Ford.
She married Blaine William Carruth on Sept. 28, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had lived in Ogden from childhood to 1953; Salt Lake City from 1953-1958; South Gate, CA from 1958-1980; and Ogden from 1980 to present.
She was a member of the LDS church and had held many teaching and leadership positions in Relief Society, Young Women and Sunday School. She served a mission to Pennsylvania-Harrisburg and Pittsburgh with her husband from 1974-1976.
Surviving are her husband of So. Ogden; six daughter, Carol Chase (James), Torrance, CA; Mary Jean Carruth, Brigham City; Louanne Livesey (Lynn), Syracuse, UT; Elaine Carruth, Ogden; Janet Nelson (Perry), Layton, UT; Doris Housel (Stan), Portola, CA; 30 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Interment int he Aultorest Memorial Park.
