E. B. Beasley Dead

Last night about six o'clock the silent messenger came to the home of Elbert Bass Beasley and took from it the husband and father.
He was a strong and healthy man 60 years of age and had known little sickness. He had a bilious attack, a slight stroke of paralysis followed, which resulted in the blood poisoning and caused his death.
He was born and reared in Dale County, seven miles from Ozark, and came to Eufaula about tens years ago and entered the brokerage business with his son.
He was a member of the Baptist church, and veteran in the war between the states, belonging to the 46th Alabama. He leaves an invalid companion and one son, Mr John Beasley to morn his loss.
Funeral services will be held at his late residence on West Union Street at four o'clock to-day, conducted by Rev. Henry T. Johnson. The remains will be intered at Fairview Cemetery.
(The invalid widow followed him in death 27 days later).
