BALL, ELMA WOODWARD – Age 85 years of Uniontown, R.D. 1, died Saturday evening, December 23, 1972 at 8:30 p.m., after a brief illness. She was born in Laurel Hill area on May 16, 1887 and was the daughter of the late Ebenezer F. and Elma Cox Woodward. She was a member of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church, the J.B. Reed Missionary Society, Ridgeview Grange, Golden Age Club, Uniontown. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George (Jane) Emery, Lemont Furnace, Mrs. Elmer (Frances) Porter, Smithfield, and Mrs. Joseph (Joe) W. Ball, Harrisburg; eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Ball, four brothers and five sisters. Friends will be received in the Burhans Funeral Home, Dunbar, today 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until Wednesday at 11 a.m. the hour of service. Rev. Max House will officiate. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
