Damion was born June 6, 1996 in El Reno and died in a car accident in Oklahoma City on Friday, April 18, 2008. He was a fifth grade student at Darlington School. He loved basketball and wrestling. He was a member of the Darlington Chiefs basketball team and El Reno wrestling and the Boys and Girls Club. He attended New Hope Baptist Church. Damion had been working summers with his grandmother, Darlene Harjo in their lawn service. He was very proud of his ability to operate all of the lawn equipment. He received many compliments on his completed jobs.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Wayne Richards; maternal grandfather Raymond Harjo; maternal great-grandparents, Otto Wiese and Anna Wiese; maternal great-grandfather, Ben Harjo; an aunt Rona Ann Silva and a cousin, Kara Ann Wiese.

Survivors include his mother, Gina (Harjo) Richards of the home; two brothers, Ethan Paul Richards of El Reno and Pvt. Alex Quiroz of Frt Sill and fiancee, Katrina and their daughter, Trinity, four sisters, Kaeci Rae Harjo, Kylie Rae Harjo, Hope Shay Richards and Destiny Rae Richards, all of El Reno; maternal grantmother Darlene Harjo and her son,
Sgt. Cincinnati Harjo and his wife, Amy and their children, Maci Rae Harjo and Alicyn Rhea Harjo all of Fort Hood, Texas. Cousin Reva Silva of El Reno; great-uncle and aunt Howard and Susan Dickens of Norman. Their children Sherri and Will Hollander and their children Ronin and Edan; and Jason and Marsha Gregg and their children Connor and Carsen of Longmont Colorado. Great aunt Mary Wiese of El Reno, cousin Jordan Wiese of El Reno; Dustin Wiese and his wife Misty and daughter Alexis; maternal great grandmother, Edith Harjo of Cromwell; paternal grandfather Roy Richards of Bristol, England and numerous other relatives and friends.
