Delpha Jean Childress, 78, of Millersville, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
She was born January 24, 1933 in Herrick, IL, the daughter of Don Milton & Mary Clucas Musser, She had lived in Nokomis & Pana area until 1976 when she moved to Florida. She came back to Millersville in 2003. While in Florida, she and her husband owned and operated Chilly Painting Service.
She was a devoted mother, absolutely adored her dogs, especially Sooner. She had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, flower arranging, and sewing when she was able.
Delpha Jean married Marvin "Chilly" Childress on July 12, 1976 in Lee County, Florida.
She is survived by her husband Marvin "Chilly" Childress, Millersville, IL; daughter: Kimberly Finley & husband Mark, Nokomis, Ill sons: Blair Crow and David Crow both of Witt, IL; 5 grandchildren: Amanda, Randi, Sam, Brad & Carrie Lynn; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Annabell Brown, Decatur, IL and Cora Lou Koonce, Tower Hill, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Alpha Dean Musser, and a grandson in infancy.

Funeral Information:
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Harry Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
