The book, "History of Stewart County Georgia" Vol. 2 by Sarah Robertson Dixon, Agnew Hilsman Clark & Marean Moncrief Clark, page 331, says there was a small heavy iron fence. I don't know if it is still there today.
The book, "History of Stewart County Georgia" Vol. 2, pages 702-704, has a lot of information on the CADE family.
It says that Lemuel Wooten CADE (1810-1856) was the son of James and Mary WOOTEN CADE. Additional ancestors are listed in the book.
Lemuel married Jane PRATHER in Lincoln Co., GA 1836. They had one child, Julius Alford "Bill" CADE (1839-1901). There is a picture of Julius Alford CADE on page 702 of the book.
In the same book, on page 1023 it tells more about Lemuel's wife.
