T Marvin (his preferred name) Was a child prodegy in the field of music. The below web page gives a detailed account of marvin's musical accomplishments in Hollywood, Written in 1972. I have one exception to this article. Marvin's parents were poor during the depression years in rural Oklahoma as most everyone was but they were not the illeterate hillbillie types that the article indicates. My mother received long letters from Aunt Belle (his mother) that prove she was hardly illeterate. Marvin's grandfather was a deputy sherrif in Greer Co. OK.

Laurel & Hardy would not have been "Laurel & Hardy" if your wonderful film themes were not a part of their legendary film persona. Your music served as both punctuation and oft times, dialogue which helped defined their characters. Thank you, Mr. Hatley!
