Funeral service for Jodie Cleve Labeth, Dickson were scheduled for 4 p.m. today, March 6, 1997 at Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel with the Rev. Ron Elmore officiatiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Labeth died March 3, 1997, at his home. He was born Oct. 31, 1947, in Ardmore, and lived in this area most of his life.
He was in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and while in Vietnam, served under the Big Red One. He was a truck driver for Total Transportation of Healdton and Ardmore and was a member of the Dickson Baptist Church. He and the former Darlene Dewberry were married Nov. 24, 1975 at Dickson.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; a son, Jimmy D. Cross; and a daughter Tina Cross, both of Ardmore; three other children, Kevin, Shane, and Tammy of Oklahoma City; his mother Doreen Watson; and a sister Cindy Muse also of Ardmore, five grandchildren; five nieces and four nephews. His Father, Dewey Labeth, proceded him in death in 1972.
Serving as bearers were Randy Smith, Jim Williams, J.J. Tate, William Hunt, Doug Sanders and Billy Benton. Honorary bearers were Nolan Hester Jr., Bobby Doorer, cousins and all Total employees.
