Joyce M. Gagne passed away February 14, 2009 at Elmwood Terrace in Aurora, IL due to complications from Alzheimer's. She was 79 years old.

Joyce was born in Aurora and was a lifelong resident. She worked at Aurora National Bank for 30 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Denise Pennington of Aurora and Diane Kucenski (Mike Kucenski) of California; two grandsons, Anthony M. Kucenski (Alma Hernandez) and Alexander C. Kucenski; and one great-grandson, Anthony X. Kucenski, all of California.

Joyce was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Pennington; one brother, Gerald Gook; and her parents, William and Eula (Lawson) Gook.

Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Joyce was an animal lover and enjoyed the company of her dog and cat. Until her health began to fail, Joyce enjoyed frequent trips out to CA to visit and vacation with her daughter and grandsons. They had many happy times touring California and boating in Arizona. Affectionately called Grammy Crackers by her grandsons, Joyce laughed easily and could be counted on to participate in whatever nonsense the kids came up with. She had a loving and kind heart, a genuine concern for everyone she encountered and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
