Earnest M Cownover was the son of William Newton Cownover and JoannaANNIE Nelson of Giles County, Tennessee. He moved from GilesCounty TN with his family and landed in Oklahoma Indian Territory about 1900. He was born in Paul'sValley, Township2, ChickasawNation, Indian Territory and served in WW1. On 30 October 1920 he married Lucy Belle Powell. They spent most of their lives farming in and around BellCounty Texas.

EarnestMalcolm was known as MackCownover and his siblings were:
