Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Bailey, both age 73, died Monday of apparent heart attacks, ten minutes apart at their home south of Greenville. Both were natives of Madison County and members of Sirmans Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey were married in 1912 and celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1962. Survivors are four daughters; Mrs. Mary O. Singletary of Madison; Mrs. Lois Miller of Lee; and Mrs. Arie Bell Duke and Mrs. Laverne Cooper, both of Titusville; six sons, Clarence Bailey of Jacksonville; Home E. Bailey of Greenville; Horace B. Bailey of Port Allen, LA; Fred L. Bailey of Orlando; Walter E. Bailey of Monticello; and Tom Henry Bailey of Lamont; twenty-six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Bailey is also survived by his step-mother, Mrs. Anna Bailey of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Arie Hendry of Shady Grove and Mrs. Sally Beaty of West Palm Beach and a brother, D. E. Bailey, Sr., of Plant City. Mrs. Bailey is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alice Wilder and Mrs. Luther Thomas, both of Mayo. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Sirmans Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville.
