Born Becker.
Born in Oak Creek, Milwaukee Co., Wisconsin. The son of August and Johanna Tischendorf.
He was married to the former Caroline Palm at her home church in Helenville. They were united in marriage at St. Peter's Lutheran on October 17, 1882. To this union were born 10 children; Edward, John, Martha Meissner, Arthur, George, Elmer, Elsa (who died in infancy), Clara Jensen, Johanna Freudenwald, Hildegard Anderson.
In the late 1890's to the early 1900's the surname change to Baker from Becker. His parents are still buried under the Becker name.

FRANK BECKER DIES AT HOME
Former Caledonia Supervisor Victim of Heart Trouble.
Frank Becker, more familiarly known to his many friends as Baker, aged 80, retired farmer and a former member of the Caledonia town board, died Saturday at his home on the Nicholson road, town of Caledonia, of heart trouble.
Mr. Becker was born in the town of Oak Creek, and had resided in the town of Caledonia 65 years. He was a town supervisor from 1911 to 1916, and an active member of Trinity Lutheran church of Caledonia 60 years, having been one of its founders and chairman of the committee that had charge of the erection of the present church building. He was married in 1882 to Miss Caroline Palm.

Surviving are eight children, Edward and Hildegard, at home, John and August [Mrs. Clara] Jensen of Racine, Mrs. Gus Meissner of Franksville, George of the town of Raymond, Elmer Becker and Mrs. Edwin Freudenwald of the town of Caledonia; one brother Gustave of Franksville, 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in the home Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and in Trinity Lutheran church at 1:30. Rev. Martin Buenger will officiate. Burial will be in the Caledonia cemetery. The body will be removed from the Krug Funeral home to the residence Tuesday morning, and friends may view it there Tuesday afternoon and until the time of the funeral.
