DUNSON, Mother Bessie (Aunt Bessie), age 94, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2011 after a short term illness in Unihealth Post Acute Care Center in Atlanta GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Treadwell; brothers, Mack and Jessie Treadwell; sisters, Willie Mae Turner, Fannie Hayes, and Annie Laura Howell. Mother Dunson was born on February 3, 1917, in Lineville, AL. She grew up in Anniston, AL and attended Cobb High School. Member of Mt Olive Baptist Church. She later relocated to Dayton, OH. She was blessed to be a longtime, loyal, faithful, hardworking employee of Mrs. Oliverose Apple, Mrs. Mary Allbery, and Mrs. Lorraine Moody of Kettering OH. She was baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorate of Bishop Fred Majors. She also received the Holy Ghost at Greater Christ Temple in Nashville Tennessee. Mother Dunson served faithfully over 30 years in the Missionary Dept., Sunday School, and various choirs. In 2008, Mother Dunson became a member of New Life International Prophetic Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Mary L. Parker. She loved Sunday School and participating in various Church events. She is dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed. Her memories will be always cherish by her survivors, two step-daughters, Juanita (William) Johnson, Irene Smith; nieces, Dr. Gloria J. Foward, Mary L. Watts, Sara Edmondson, Edna Wilson, JoAnn (Ricky) Cox, Marcia Jackson, Betty Garrett, and Vivian McAfee, a host of great nephews and nieces, great, great nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The Home Going services will be held September 24, 2011, at 12:00 Noon at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church, 3241 Denlinger RD, Trotwood, OH Elder Ernest Scales, Pastor. Officiating clergy, Bishop Charlie Parker of Duluth, GA. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Family will received friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Services entrusted to Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2060 Germantown St.
