Jerald H. "Jerry" Busch, 72, a lifelong resident of Warren, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Warren. He was born Jan. 7, 1936, in Warren.

Mr. Busch was employed with the city of Warren Sanitation Department for five years, the city of Warren Forestry department for 32 years and the city of Warren Fire Battalion, retiring at the rank of Chief in 1997.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1957.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 4.

He is survived by his former wife, Lois Hitchcock; children, Laurene (Daryl) Brown and Jerry (Renee) Busch; grandchildren, Gordy, Kenny and Jason; and sister, Joanne (Ron) Trombley.

He was predeceased by his son, James Busch.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lyle Elliott Funeral Home, 31730 Mound Road, Warren.

Burial will take place in Utica Cemetery, Utica.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today and noon-9 p.m. Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
