Birth: Feb. 25, 1906
Guffey
Jefferson County
Texas, USA
Death: Jul. 30, 2010
Cedar Park
Williamson County
Texas, USA

Beatrice Pearl "Bea" Baker was born on 25 February 1906 in Guffey, Texas, to Otho Oscar Baker and his wife, Della Pearl McGlaun. Her baby brother, James Herman Baker, died, an infant. She wasn't given a middle name at birth, but fancied her mother's middle name and began using it as her own.

After her parents divorced, Bea and her mother worked to support themselves during the Great Depression. She married John Henry Bice Sr, 10 May 1931, in Beaumont, Texas. They had four children: Herman, Carolyn, John Jr, and Wayne Bice. Bea worked for a while as a telephone operator, but spent most her time as a homemaker.

They retired to Latexo, Texas, where they were members of the Methodist Church. Bea was widowed when John died in 1996; she moved to San Antonio, Texas, and later Cedar Park, Texas, with her daughter.

Bea Baker Bice died, 30 July 2010, aged 104, at a nursing home in Cedar Park and was buried with her husband at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
