The funeral for Ada Dee Dungy Black, 94, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Black passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2012, at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Ada Black was born May 3, 1918, in Athens to Charlie and Estelle Scroggins Dungy. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Black was a member of the First Baptist Church of Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Black; two daughters, Annette Cole and Charlotte Agee; and one son, Jerry Black.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Emberton and Sherry Phillips, both of Athens, and Susan McMasters of Decatur; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
