Oct 10, 1894 Homesteaded 160 acres as follows:
E1/2 SW section 32 and W1/2SW section 32, Township 18 S, Range 8W, Ashley Co, AR.
In 1898 sold these 160 acres to E.S. Crossett, a Davenport Iowa businessman who then built, on that land, the Crossett Lumber Co, now the Georgia Pacific Company, and the town of Crossett.
The town of Crossett was, until after WWII, a company town, where all but four businesses, and all of the homes, were owned by the Crossett Lumber Company.

Andrew Bass Farrar was born in Union Parish, La.
His father migrated from Perry Co, AL to Union Parish, LA in 1848 in the wagon train of Rev. Elias George, along with his cousins, sons of Henry Lansford Farrar, Sr and the families of the children of John Bass and Juliann Holliman, and sisters of his mother Jerusha Bass
