Reba Lewis age 92, 1531 Marion Miller Street Pahrump, NV. And former Jay County Madison Twp. Resident passed away Friday at her home. She was born in Portland May 3, 1920 the daughter of Herman and Iva (Flauding) White. She spent her early years in Kentucky with her mother and Step-father Dewey Blythe. She always had fond memories of those early years in Kentucky. She was married November 4, 1939 to Reed Lewis who died June 15, 2000. She was a homemaker and had worked at Jay Garment. She was a 1938 Portland High School graduate, 4-H Leader and member of Pleasant Hill Church of Christ.
Surviving are one son David Lewis (wife-Charlene) of Carmel and two daughters Mrs. J.C. (Susie) Sells of Pahrump, NV. and Deanna Unger of Centerville, Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson Mike Steed.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Bryan presiding. Burial will follow in the New Lisbon Cemetery in Randolph County. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 – 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.
