Floss Tomlinson Bowser was the eighth child of Rosanna Waldren and Martin Vanburen Tomlinson of New Bethlehen, Clarion County, Pennsylvania. She was a member of First Church of God in Vandergrift PA. Before and after marriage Floss worked at the Glove Factory on Lincoln Ave., Vandergrift.
