Elisabeth Ann Bowles 76, died today at Clapp Nursing Home in Greensboro, NC. She was born an only child to Myrtle Leonard and William "Bill" Fletcher Bowles on July 30, 1928. She overcame polio in the 1950's and will best be remember as an educator/writer. She was dean of the English Department at UNC-G. She loved to travel and write journals on her travels. She loved cats and named the many she had the names of English Poets, Jabez, Edgar Allan Poe, Mahitable, and many many more.
