Alford was a farmer.
He was born Dec. 16, 1906, at Tangipahoa Parish, La., son of the late Wiley Banton and Emma Rose Miller Alford. He married Ora Mae Burch Alford, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death two sets of twin children.
Survivors include a son, Wiley A. Alford of Portland, Tenn.; two daughters, Delores Thomas of McCom and Faye Swan of Starkville; a sister, Allie Brock of New Orleans, La.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Swan, Jerry Brock, Jack Frabbiele, Kenneth Swan, Ralph Brock and Virgil Thomas.
Burial was in Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in charge.
